Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on November 12, 1961, in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast, and is the only person to be awarded 10/10 marks at an Olympic event. Bela Karalyi came across Comaneci at the age of six. Later, she would become the Romanian gymnastics coach. Her first competition was in The National Junior Championships in where she placed 13th in 1969. In 1970, Comaneci was crowned champion. Her first competition in the international arena was in 1972, a pre-Olympic junior event for countries of the communist bloc she took home three gold medals. In 1973 and 1974, she was an overall junior champion. When she competed for the first time as a senior, in 1975 she bested the Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva who was a five-time European champion, winning four gold medals and one silver. In 1976, she became the first person in the world to use a backwards-double salto to dismount from parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. The journey of Carol Wayne to the world of entertainment began when she was a teenager. Together with her twin sister Nina Wayne, she joined traveling entertainment shows that were known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol began her career in entertainment in her teens. She began her professional career by performing figure skating with Nina Wayne, her younger sister as part of traveling entertainment programs Ice Capades. The shows featured theatrical ice-skating performance.
